Anchla is the Program Lead for the Math & Computer Science Department at Halton District School Board's Virtual Secondary School in the Burlington, Ontario.  She hold a B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Neuroscience from the University of Toronto (U of T)  and completed her B.Ed from Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (OISE/UT) at U of T.   She is passionate about continually developing an understanding of the intersection of pedagogy, content knowledge, and educational technology,  and sharing it with others.  She is a Google certified educator and is the the dedicated to supporting young women in developing skills in STEM fields.  She is very interested in how education can be reimagined through all the challenges that the global pandemic has brought upon us and how to engage students in successfully learning virtually through various education technology tools.  She is continually developing her skills in to create culturally responsive virtual classrooms
