Dr. Kimberly N. Parker currently prepares preservice teachers as the Assistant Director of the Teacher Training Center at the Shady Hill School in Cambridge, MA. The root of her research stems from building intentional literacy communities with Black and Latinx young people in public schools, and it continues to focus on the literacy lives of Black youth, particularly those of Black boys. She is the 2020 recipient of the NCTE Outstanding Elementary Educator Award and is a co-founder of #DisruptTexts and #31DaysIBPOC. Twitter: @TchKimpossible
